Eight non-obvious things in SEO, that will increase the visibility of the site

Hello everyone, watching the work on website promotion, I noticed that there are a number of things that are often overlooked by both beginners and experienced professionals. Something from the list will undoubtedly be familiar to many, but somehow I hope to surprise you.

1. LSI.

Surprisingly, so far, many people forget about LSI, and if in commercial niches this can still be understood, then in information it can limit the potential of your site. LSI is a demonstration of the breadth of the topic, the quality of the text. Related queries help search engines better understand your text. There are a lot of software on the market to search for such queries, these are synonymizers and software from Pixel.

2. Silo.

This technique comes down to competent clustering of queries and building a site structure based on blocks. Homogeneous queries form a cluster within which there are a number of adjacent pages. Within one large block are subunits at a lower level of nesting. If we talk about the silo-structure in an understandable language, we are talking about a competent branched structure, which is formed using the levels of nesting of the site.

3. Brand inquiries.

Often met sites that should not be in the top, but they are there anyway? Check the number of brand queries. The overall popularity of the brand can influence the position of the site. Firstly, this indicates to the search engines the need of the site, the demand. And secondly, I think it’s no secret to anyone that the click-through rate on the pages of well-known companies is higher than that of little-known companies, all other things being equal.

4. Updating content.

Updating materials on the site is a sign that they are working on it, it is a positive sign. Regular correction and updating allows you to achieve better positions, simply because in many topics search engines will prefer more recent material. Ultimately, texts from 2013-2015 could already simply be out of date.

This does not mean that you constantly need to roll out hundreds of articles, it is enough just to correct and add the old ones.

5. Getting extended snippet.

Agree that when you have a price and a picture in the search results – this is a good plus to the clickability of the snippet. And as you know, high clickability is the pride of a SEO.

Micro-tagging and Yandex Feeds will increase your chance of an attractive delivery. Yandex has a few instructions. Of course, many may argue that it is not always possible to achieve an extended snippet, however, as a rule, the one who tries gets it.

Of course, it’s worth working on an extended snippet only after your site has taken a position on demand.

6. Design.

I still meet sites that are trying to advance in the search, but have a very poor design. I’m not talking about an inconvenient location, it does not affect user behavior so much, it’s more about sites with terrifying colors, and although you can change background in css quickly enough, this does not happen. As a result, many users leave the site after it is opened with misunderstanding or sore eyes.

7. Crowd marketing.

The position on the uselessness of links from social networks and forums is quite popular, however, it is worth noting that a large number of natural links usually help your development, in addition, you get traffic from different sites.

8. Outreach.

It is clear that this method is not for everyone, most of it will not work. Just because it’s very laborious. However, for information projects it would be useful to get a number of exclusive links from popular sites.
